I purchased two of these lanterns, and have actually filled one of them with lamp oil. Seems to work great, and sets off our patio area nicely!

4 Remember to put it up when not in use

I love these lanterns. The only problem I have is the quickness with which they rust. I bought them to light a sitting area on the side of my house. They've begun to rust quite badly. In all fairness, however, I should have put them up when not in use. Overall, great product.

I love the fact that the lantern comes in different colors. My daughter loves the red one. When batteries run out the lantern will still shine. the only issue is that the glass is very thin and breaks easily. I hope the superglue works the the mantel gets hot. You need to have on your web site replacement mantels.

this weatherrite outdoor kerosene lantern is the best mesquitoes/bug repellant ever,used with citronella oil.uses less oil,wind wont blow out,rain wont put out, gives off a nice ajustable glow ,easy care and looks good with any decor.easy to transport for camping, fishing,picnics,etc,.back home in viginia,i have fishing pond in my backyard and a pool.we have tried tickee tourches to citronella candles.the lanterns are the best by far.we have 15.we just want people to enjoy the outdoors as much as we do.now we give them for gifts.wish they were advertised as BEST BUG REPELLANT
